Upload defaults

Upload defaults is a settings panel in YouTube Studio where a channel stores fixed values that apply to every new video at the moment of upload. It covers title templates, description text, tags, visibility, category, language, and license. The values load automatically so the uploader does not retype them for each video.

Why it matters

A creator who does not set upload defaults makes the same manual decisions on every video, and under time pressure those decisions drift. One video goes public by accident because visibility was left on the last-used setting. Another ships with an empty description because the field was skipped. Defaults remove that variance.
