Comparison

ViewMade comparisons

Head-to-head readings of every product in this category, including the pairs we are not in.

What each comparison measures

Every page in this family answers the same four questions about both products, in the same order, so two pages can be read against each other rather than each on its own terms. What the tool is built for. Where the pictures come from. Whether a finished render names the source of each clip. What it costs to start.

The footage question is the one that separates this category, and it is the reason the column exists. A tool that generates its visuals, one that pulls from a stock library, one that reframes footage you supply and one that sources real archive material are four different products, and a claim made over invented pictures is a different artefact from the same claim made over the record it refers to.

Why both directions are written

People search for a pair in whichever order they already have in their head, and the two orders are different questions: one starts from the product you are using, the other from the one you are considering. Each direction is written separately, opening with the product named first and answering its readers’ version of the question. Serving one body at both URLs would throw away the second reading and file the pair as duplicate content while doing it.

What these pages cannot tell you

This is our own reading of what these products do, checked in August 2026, and we are one of the products on the list. Vendors change their plans, their limits and their pipelines without announcing it, so treat a price here as the date it carries rather than as today’s number. The honest test takes twenty minutes: give any two of them the same subject you already know well, then judge the output instead of the landing page.

Every comparison

Comparisons we are not in

55 pairs, neither of them us. Every comparison of two products in this category is written by one of the two, which makes all of them arguments rather than readings. These are the readings.
