You paste a link from a stream or VOD, the tool reframes it to 9:16, burns in word-by-word subtitles, and adds a hook overlay. You download the file and publish it yourself.
What you give it
A YouTube link. That is the input. The connection requests read-only access (youtube.readonly) so the video can be imported, and the access token is discarded after import. No refresh token is stored. If your source material lives anywhere else, this page does not cover it.

How it works
- Paste the link. You give the tool a YouTube URL and grant read-only access.
- Import runs once. The video is pulled in, then the access token is thrown away.
- The strip rebuilds the frame. The footage is re-cropped to 9:16, subtitles are applied in your chosen style, and a hook overlay goes on top.

Where the footage comes from
The visuals come from real archive material, maps, and charts, not from a generative video model. This matters for two reasons. First, generated frames invent details about real events; archive footage shows what actually happened. Second, provenance is verifiable: every render ships with a media credits file that names the source of each clip, so you can check where every second of picture came from before you publish. If a claim in your Short needs visual backing, the tool reaches for documented material rather than synthesizing an approximation of it. Nothing in the pipeline produces AI-generated imagery standing in for real events.
