How it works

1. Research. You give the tool a topic. It researches the topic and builds the script on sourced material, not on invented detail.

2. Script. The script is written for a vertical documentary format. It states measured facts first and assumes the viewer already knows the subject.

3. Footage and narration. The tool matches each script segment to real archive footage, maps or charts, and records the voiceover in the language you pick. The footage is licensed, not generated, and the source of every clip is written into the credits file.

When this is the wrong tool

ViewMade is built for vertical documentaries about real events. It is the wrong tool in three cases.

If you already have footage and want to edit it, use an editor instead. Descript gives the most control when editing around a recording, CapCut edits a script and clips you already have, and Submagic captions and polishes an existing clip. If you want a presenter on camera without a camera, HeyGen does that with an avatar and your supplied media. If you have a long video and want shorts cut out of it, Opus Clip finds clips inside an upload you already made.
