ViewMade's Starter plan costs 29 USD per month for 50 renders, measured on viewmade.com/pricing on 22 August 2026. That plan covers the long-form to shorts workflow described below: you hand over a finished long upload, and the tool returns vertical, subtitled clips you download and publish yourself.

What you actually give it

The tool accepts a YouTube link directly. You paste the URL of your long upload, and the import runs with a single permission: read-only access to that video. The access token is discarded after the import completes, and no refresh token is stored. ViewMade cannot upload to your channel, edit it, delete anything, or post comments. It reads the video, nothing more.

You can also work from a topic instead of a link. In that mode the tool researches the subject, writes the script, and sources real archive footage rather than generating visuals with a video model. Every clip in the render ships with a media credits file naming its source.

What it does not do: it does not find clips inside a video you already made the way a clipping tool like Opus Clip does, and it does not caption and polish an existing clip the way Submagic does. The long-form to shorts workflow here reframes and rebuilds the material as a finished vertical documentary Short, with narration, burned-in subtitles, and a cover image.

The three steps

  1. Paste the YouTube link of your long upload, or enter a topic.
  2. The tool imports the video with read-only access, discards the token, and rebuilds the material as a vertical documentary Short.
  3. Download the render package and publish it to your channel yourself.

What comes back

Each render returns a finished 1080x1920 vertical Short. The output includes:

  • Word-by-word subtitles, burned into the footage, in one of 7 caption styles
  • A voiceover in one of 5 supported languages
  • A title, description, and tags
  • Background music
  • A cover image
  • A credits file naming the source of every clip

The interface itself is available in 7 languages: English, Turkish, German, Spanish, French, Italian, and Portuguese.

Limits

The output format is fixed at 1080x1920 vertical. There is no horizontal or square export. Voiceovers are limited to the 5 supported languages; if your long upload is in a language outside that set, the narration language is a constraint to check before you commit. The archive-footage approach depends on real material existing for the subject: topics with thin archive coverage will not produce the same visual depth as well-documented events. There is no free tier and no signup credit, so production begins only after a successful payment. The Starter plan is monthly only; there is no annual Starter option.

What it costs

Two self-serve plans, measured on viewmade.com/pricing on 22 August 2026:

PlanPriceRenders/monthCost per Short
Starter29 USD/month500.58 USD
Pro59 USD/month, or 29.50 USD/month billed annually at 354 USD total (a 50 percent discount)1500.20 USD

Pro adds 10 AI child videos per month, a priority render queue, and API plus MCP access. Agency pricing is custom. For comparison, Revid's entry Hobby plan reads at 39 USD monthly on its pricing page as of 23 August 2026, and Opus Clip lists a free tier with a Starter plan at 15 USD per month. Opus Clip's free tier and lower entry price make it the cheaper starting point if your only need is extracting clips from footage you already have.

Frequently asked questions

Does it read my long upload directly?

Yes. You paste a YouTube link and the tool imports the video with read-only permission. The access token is discarded after import and no refresh token is stored. It cannot upload, edit, delete, or comment on your channel.

Does it generate the visuals with AI?

No. The visuals come from real archive footage, maps, and charts, and every render ships with a credits file naming each clip's source.

Can I publish straight to my channel from the tool?

No. You download the finished package and publish it yourself. The tool has no upload, edit, or delete access to your channel.

What does a Short cost on each plan?

On Starter, 0.58 USD per Short at 50 renders per month. On Pro, 0.20 USD per Short at 150 renders per month. Both figures measured 22 August 2026.
