What Clippie costs
The pricing page returned three tiers on 2026-08-23:

One detail worth knowing before you compare plans: the middle tier's plan name did not come back from the server when the page was fetched. The price and credit figures are there; the label is not.
What you get for it
Clippie sells credits and export minutes, not videos. That distinction matters when you work out your real cost per finished Short.
For the Lite plan, the arithmetic is straightforward: $19.99 buys 300 credits a month. If a single short consumes 30 credits, that is roughly six videos for $19.99, about $3.33 each. If it consumes 60, you get three, at $6.66 each. The page does not publish a per-video credit cost, so any per-video figure you compute depends on an assumption the vendor does not state. Treat your own render history as the only reliable input here.
On the unnamed middle tier, $34.99 covers 1,000 credits and 120 export minutes. On Pro, $69.99 covers 2,000 credits and 250 export minutes. Note that the unit you are buying is export minutes, not videos. A channel publishing daily needs to know how many finished minutes those credits actually produce, and that number has to come from your own usage, not the vendor's marketing.

Two honest notes on this table. First, ViewMade costs more than Clippie's entry tier. It produces fewer units per dollar if you count raw renders. What changes the comparison is what a unit is: a ViewMade render is a finished vertical documentary built from real archive footage, maps and charts, delivered with a media credit file listing every clip's source. Whether that is worth the gap between $19.99 and $29 is your call, not ours.
Second, Fluxnote's footage column says "Not measured" because the vendor describes its output as "footage" without stating whether it is generated or library-sourced. We did not guess. Also note Fluxnote's video count is the vendor's own claim, not our measurement.
Before you cancel
Before cancelling, answer four questions with your own data. First, how many finished videos did you actually publish last month? Divide your monthly fee by that number. If the result is higher than what a replacement would charge per unit, the switch makes sense; if not, it does not. Second, do unused credits roll over? Check whether your balance resets monthly or accumulates, because a large stored balance is value you lose by leaving. Third, did you pay annually? If so, check how much of your term remains, since that affects the timing of the switch rather than the decision itself. Fourth, which features did you actually use? Clipping existing uploads and generating new documentaries are different jobs, and paying for the wrong job is the usual reason a bill feels too high. Is Clippie worth it at that price?
It depends entirely on your usage. At $19.99 for 300 credits, a light user producing two or three shorts a month pays well over $5 per video. A heavy user on Pro at $69.99 with 2,000 credits may pay far less per unit. There is no honest single answer; run your own numbers against your own output.
Will I lose my unused credits?
That is in their terms. We have not verified Clippie's rollover policy, so we will not assert one way or the other. Check the terms on their billing page before you cancel.
Does Clippie generate its own footage?
No. Per our measurement of clippie.ai on 2026-08-23, Clippie works on user upload: you bring the clips, it captions and edits them. If you need footage sourced for you, that is a different product category.
