ViewMade turns a topic into a finished vertical documentary Short: sourced research, script, voiceover, real archive footage, word-by-word subtitles, thumbnail, and an upload package. On 22 August 2026 the Starter plan produced a Short at $0.58 per render on a monthly plan of $29 for 50 renders.
What you actually give it
The engine does not read your newsletter file or your sent-issue link. It does not ingest HTML, PDF, or an email export. What it accepts is the subject in one sentence.
You write something like: "The 1971 D.B. Cooper hijacking." The engine takes that sentence, runs its own sourced research, writes the script, records the voiceover, cuts it against real archive footage, and renders the Short. Your newsletter is useful to you as preparation: it tells you which subject to pick and what angle to give it. The tool itself never sees it.
If you want the exact wording of your issue carried into the video, this is not that workflow. This is topic-to-Short, not document-to-Short.
The three steps
- Write the subject as one sentence.
- Pick subtitle style, voiceover language, and background music.
- Render, download the file plus the media credits sheet, and publish it yourself.
What comes back
Each render returns:
| Item | Detail |
|---|---|
| Video | 1080x1920 vertical |
| Subtitles | Word-by-word, burned into the image, 7 styles |
| Voiceover | 5 languages |
| Footage | Licensed real archive footage, not AI-generated imagery |
| Media credits | A file naming the source of every clip |
| Upload package | Title, description, tags, background music, thumbnail |
Limits
The engine does not upload to YouTube. Its connection asks only for read permission (youtube.readonly), the access token is discarded after import, and no refresh token is stored. You do the publishing yourself. Interface languages are en, tr, de, es, fr, it, and pt; voiceover covers 5 of those languages, so if your audience reads subtitles in a language outside the voiceover set, the narration will be in one of the five while the burned-in captions carry the text. Archive footage depends on findability: obscure subjects may return thinner visual material than well-documented ones. Production starts after successful payment; there is no free tier and no signup credit.
What it costs
| Plan | Price | Renders | Per Short |
|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | $29/month | 50/month | $0.58 |
| Pro | $59/month, or $29.5/month billed annually ($354/year, 50% off) | 150/month | $0.20 |
Pro adds 10 AI children's videos per month, a priority render queue, and API + MCP access. Agency pricing is custom. There is no yearly Starter plan.
<!-- faq -->Frequently asked questions
Does it read my newsletter directly?
No. It does not accept a file, link, or email export. You paste the subject as one sentence and the engine researches from there.
Is the footage AI-generated?
No. Visuals come from real archive sources, maps, and charts. Every render ships with a media credits file listing where each clip came from.
Can it post to my channel?
No. ViewMade cannot upload, edit, delete, or comment on your channel. The YouTube connection is read-only and the access token is discarded after import.
What happens if I run out of renders?
Starter includes 50 renders per month and Pro includes 150. When the month resets, the allowance resets. There is no pay-per-render option listed outside these plans.
