A 22 August 2026 check of viewmade.com/pricing shows a Starter plan at $29 per month for 50 renders, which works out at $0.58 per Short. ViewMade does not ingest a Reddit thread. It turns a one-sentence subject into a finished vertical documentary Short with sourced research, script, voiceover, real archive footage, word-for-word subtitles, and a thumbnail.
What you actually give it
You give it the subject in a sentence, not the thread itself. If you paste "r/todayilearned says the Soviet Union drilled the deepest hole on Earth," ViewMade will not read that post. You write instead: "The Kola Superdeep Borehole." The engine then researches that subject independently and builds its own sourced script. Your Reddit post is a starting point for your own thinking, not an input the tool consumes. If your workflow depends on importing a specific post's text, this is not the right tool. If your workflow is "I found something interesting on Reddit, now I want a documentary Short about it," this works.
The three steps

Limits
The engine takes a subject, so anything locked inside a long thread's comments stays out unless you name it in your subject sentence. Voiceover covers 5 languages; if your audience reads another language, there is no option measured here. Footage comes from real archives, maps, and charts, so subjects with little recorded material may have thinner visual coverage than AI-generated competitors can fake. Output is fixed at 1080x1920 vertical. No free tier exists, and production starts after payment succeeds.

Does it read my Reddit thread directly?
No. It accepts the subject as a single sentence. The thread itself never enters the system.
Is the footage AI-generated?
No. Visuals come from real archives, maps, and graphs, and every render ships with a media credits file listing each clip's source.
Does it publish to YouTube for me?
No. You download the file and upload it yourself. A YouTube connection requests read-only access (youtube.readonly) only, the access token is discarded after import, and ViewMade cannot upload, edit, delete, or comment on your channel.
