A topic-to-video conversion on ViewMade produced a 1080x1920 vertical Short with embedded captions in one render pass, measured against the product documentation dated 22 August 2026. The tool accepts a subject sentence and returns a finished documentary Short: sourced research, script, voiceover, real archive footage, word-by-word subtitles, cover image and an upload package.
What you actually give it
ViewMade takes a subject directly. You type a topic as a plain sentence, for example "the sinking of the Edmund Fitzgerald" or "the collapse of the Tacoma Narrows Bridge". There is no separate research phase for you to run first. The tool does the research itself, writes the script from it, sources real archive footage rather than generating images with a video model, records the voiceover, cuts the clips together and burns the subtitles into the frame.
What it does not take: an existing video file, a long upload to clip, or a finished script you want polished. If your input is footage you already made, ViewMade is not the tool for that step. It is built for the case where all you have is a subject and you need a finished Short out of it.

You download the file and publish it yourself. ViewMade does not upload, edit, delete or comment on your channel.
Limits
Three limits matter before you pay. First, duration: this produces Shorts, so the output format is fixed at vertical 1080x1920; there is no long-form option in this flow. Second, language: voiceover covers 5 languages and the interface 7, so if your target audience needs narration outside those, the tool will not serve it today. Third, footage availability: the visuals come from real archives, maps and graphics, not a generation model. For subjects with thin archival coverage, the visual material available may be limited, because nothing is invented to fill gaps. That constraint is deliberate and stated openly: every clip ships with a named source in the media credit file. If a subject cannot be illustrated honestly from real material, that shows up in the result rather than being papered over with synthetic imagery.
What it costs
There are two self-serve plans and no free tier. Starter costs $29 per month for 50 renders per month, which works out to $0.58 per Short; it is monthly only, with no annual plan. Pro costs $59 monthly or $29.50 per month billed annually at $354 per year, a 50 percent discount, for 150 renders per month, which works out to $0.20 per Short. Pro adds 10 AI children videos per month, a priority render queue, and API plus MCP access. Agency pricing is custom. Production begins after successful payment; there is no registration credit.
For comparison, Revid's entry Hobby plan read at $39 per month on its pricing page on 23 August 2026, and Fluxnote's entry Rise plan read at $10 per month the same day, the lowest entry price measured in the category. Both generate visuals rather than sourcing real archive footage, and neither ships a media credit file naming each clip's source.

Does it read my topic directly?
Yes. You give it a subject sentence and it handles research, scripting, sourcing, voicing and rendering from that input alone.
Does it use AI-generated video?
No. Visuals come from real archive footage, maps and graphs. Each render includes a media credit file stating every clip's source. StoryShort, by contrast, was classified in our August 2026 comparison table as using web-sourced imagery with partial source crediting.
Can it post to my YouTube channel?
No. The YouTube connection requests read-only permission only (youtube.readonly). The access token is discarded after import and no refresh token is stored. ViewMade cannot upload, edit, delete or comment.
Is there a free trial?
