Faceless.so too expensive? Work out what you are actually paying

Faceless.so's entry plan is $29 per month on monthly billing, or $24 per month when billed yearly at $290 for the year, as read from faceless.so/pricing

Faceless.so starts at $29 a month. Of the 22 rivals tracked here, 9 publish an entry price a plain page fetch can read, and those, with ours, run from $10 to $149.

Entry prices read directly from each vendor's pricing page on 2026-08-23. Each mark is one reading, the shaded band is the range they fall in, and the mark below the axis is the middle. Further right costs more to start.

Faceless.so's entry plan is $29 per month on monthly billing, or $24 per month when billed yearly at $290 for the year, as read from faceless.so/pricing on 23 August 2026. If your invoice says one number and the page shows another, the difference is almost always which billing period that rate belongs to.

What Faceless.so costs

The pricing page defaults to showing yearly rates. Both readings are below so you can match them to your own invoice.

PlanMonthly billingYearly billingCreditsVendor video claim
Starter$29/month$24/month, $290 billed yearly500/month~25 videos/month
Growth$49/month$32/month, $390 billed yearly1,000/month~50 videos/month

One more line from the same page matters for the arithmetic below: it states that video generation starts from 20 credits.

What you get for it

The page publishes credit counts and a starting credit cost, not a firm price per finished video. The video counts above are the vendor's claims. Using them:

PlanBilling basisCost per claimed video
StarterYearly ($24/month)$0.96
StarterMonthly ($29/month)$1.16
GrowthYearly ($32/month)$0.64
GrowthMonthly ($49/month)$0.98

If a video actually consumes more than the minimum 20 credits, the real figure rises. At exactly 20 credits per video, 500 credits buys 25 videos and the numbers hold. At 40 credits per video, the same 500 credits buy 12 videos and the effective cost doubles. The page does not publish a per-video figure beyond its own claim, so check your usage history against your credit spend before concluding anything about value.

The same money, elsewhere

ToolEntry priceWhat that buysFootage source
Fluxnote$10/month, or $8.33/month billed yearly at $100/year1,000 credits/month; the page claims 10 videos/month and describes video count as a fixed slot capNot measured
Faceless.so$29/month, or $24/month billed yearly at $290/year500 credits/month; vendor claims ~25 videos/monthGenerated
ViewMade$29/month, monthly only, no yearly plan50 renders/month, $0.58 per shortReal archive footage

Two things to weigh in this comparison. First, ViewMade's per-short figure is a published calculation rather than a claim derived from credits: 50 renders at $29 divides to $0.58. Second, footage source changes what the output is usable for. Faceless.so generates visuals; ViewMade pulls licensed real archive footage, maps and graphics, and ships a media credits file naming the source of every clip. For documentary-style shorts about real events, that difference is not cosmetic. Fluxnote's footage source was not measured, so nothing is stated here about what its visuals are.

Also note where ViewMade does not win: Fluxnote's entry price of $10 per month is the lowest measured in this category, less than half of either competitor's entry point. If your budget is fixed and volume is small, that gap is real.

Before you cancel

Before cancelling, work through three questions with your own account data rather than anyone's advice. How many videos did you actually finish last month? Compare that count against the vendor's claimed 25 per month on the Starter plan, because your true cost per video may be far from the $0.96 the claim implies. Do unused credits roll over? The answer lives in their terms, not on the pricing page, and if they expire monthly then any balance you leave behind is money spent for nothing. Did you pay yearly? A $290 yearly payment changes what leaving now costs you compared with a $29 monthly one. None of these questions has an answer on this page. Check Faceless.so's own billing page and terms for the cancellation steps and rollover policy before you act.

Frequently asked questions

Is Faceless.so worth it at that price?

It depends on how many videos you finish. At the vendor's claim of 25 videos on 500 credits, the Starter plan works out to $0.96 per video on yearly billing, which is competitive with ViewMade's published $0.58 per short and cheaper than paying ViewMade's $29 monthly rate for fewer than 50 renders. But if your actual usage runs closer to the 20-credit minimum producing fewer videos because generation consumes more credits, your real per-video cost climbs past both figures. Worth it only if your completed-video count supports the claim.

Will I lose my unused credits?

That is defined in Faceless.so's terms, not on the pricing page this article reads. Check their terms for the rollover and expiry rules before deciding whether to cancel mid-cycle or run down your balance first.

Why does my invoice show $24 but the page I signed up on said $29?

Both numbers come from the same pricing page. $29 is the Starter plan on monthly billing; $24 per month is the yearly-billing equivalent, charged as $290 once a year. Your invoice reflects whichever billing period you chose at signup.

What does Faceless.so actually make the visuals out of?

Per the measurement recorded here, Faceless.so generates its visuals. It does not source real archive footage, and it does not ship a media credits file naming clip sources. If provenance of imagery matters for your channel, that is a structural difference, not a pricing one.
