A ViewMade Starter plan costs 29 USD per month and includes 50 renders, which works out to 0.58 USD per Short as of the 22 August 2026 pricing page. Each render is a finished vertical documentary Short: researched script, voiceover, real archive footage, burned-in subtitles, thumbnail, and an upload package. You download the file and publish it yourself. This page covers what that workflow looks like for a YouTube Shorts creator.

What you give it

You give it a topic sentence. That is the input for the shorts strip: one subject, stated plainly. The tool researches the topic, writes the script, and cuts the video from there. It does not take your own footage, your own script, or an existing video to repurpose. If you already have raw clips you want edited, this is not the strip for that job.

What comes back

Each render returns:

  • A 1080x1920 vertical video
  • Word-by-word subtitles, burned into the image, in one of 7 caption styles
  • Voiceover in one of 5 languages
  • A title, description, and tags for the upload
  • Background music
  • Licensed real footage plus a media credit file naming the source of every clip
  • A cover image

The interface runs in 7 languages: English, Turkish, German, Spanish, French, Italian, and Portuguese.

How it works

  1. Submit a topic. One sentence is enough. The tool treats it as the subject of a documentary Short.
  2. Research and script. It sources material on the topic and writes a narration script from what it finds.
  3. Render. It records the voiceover, cuts licensed archive footage against the script, burns in subtitles, and adds music.
  4. Download and publish. You get the video file, the metadata, and the media credits file. Uploading to your channel stays with you.

Where the footage comes from

The visuals come from real archives, maps, and charts. No frame is generated by a video model. For a topic like a maritime disaster or an engineering failure, that means footage of the actual event, period maps, and data graphics rather than synthetic approximations of them. Every render ships with a media credit file that names the source of each clip used. Two consequences follow. First, the imagery matches the claim being narrated, because both point at the same recorded event. Second, if a viewer asks where a shot came from, you can answer from the credit file instead of guessing. Tools that generate their visuals cannot offer either. StoryShort sources some imagery from the web but provides only partial source attribution; ViewMade's credit file covers every clip.

What it costs

There are two self-serve plans. Starter costs 29 USD per month for 50 renders, monthly billing only, no annual option. Pro costs 59 USD per month, or 29.5 USD per month billed annually at 354 USD total, a 50 percent discount, for 150 renders per month. Per render, that is 0.58 USD on Starter and 0.20 USD on Pro. Pro adds 10 AI children's videos per month, priority render queue, and API plus MCP access. Agency pricing is custom. There is no free tier and no signup credit. Production starts after payment succeeds.

When this is not the right fit

This strip makes one thing: a documentary Short about a real event, cut from archive footage. It does not edit footage you supply, so if your workflow starts from your own recordings, use Descript, which gives the most control when editing around a recording, or CapCut for editing a script and clips you already have. It does not find highlights inside a long video; Opus Clip does that. It does not put a presenter on camera; HeyGen exists for that. It does not schedule hands-off publishing; AutoShorts handles scheduled publishing from a topic. And if you want generated visuals rather than real ones, InVideo generates broadly from a prompt. Pick this strip when the subject is a verifiable event and the footage should prove it happened.
