ViewMade prices a finished vertical documentary Short at $0.58 on the Starter plan and $0.20 on the Pro plan, measured from viewmade.com/pricing on 22 August 2026. Every render ships with a media credits file naming the source of each clip, which is the file your client's compliance reviewer will ask for.
What is actually different for you
An agency does not press a different button than a solo creator. The differences are arithmetic, volume, and approval.
Arithmetic: at 50 renders per month on Starter, a Short costs $0.58. At 150 renders per month on Pro, it costs $0.20. Both figures are from the live pricing page, 22 August 2026. When a client asks why a deliverable costs what it costs, you have a per-unit number instead of a guess.
Volume: agencies do not make one Short. They make a batch for one client, then a variant for another. ViewMade takes a topic and returns a finished 1080x1920 vertical video with sourced footage, so a batch is a list of topics, not a list of editing sessions.
Approval: the deliverable is not just the video. It is the video plus a media credits file that states where every clip came from. When the client's legal or brand team asks "where is this footage from", the answer is a file you already have, not an afternoon of reconstructing sources from memory.
The footage itself is real archive material, maps and graphics, not AI-generated imagery. For clients in history, true crime, aviation or engineering content, that distinction is often the approval gate.
The arithmetic
Two plans, both monthly, no annual Starter plan (22 August 2026, viewmade.com/pricing):
| Plan | Monthly | Renders per month | Cost per Short |
|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | $29 | 50 | $0.58 |
| Pro | $59 | 150 | $0.20 |
Pro billed annually works out to $29.50 per month, $354 per year, a 50 percent discount on the monthly rate. Pro also includes 10 AI child videos per month, a priority render queue, and API plus MCP access, which matters if your team wires generation into an internal workflow instead of clicking through a dashboard.
A client retainer of 40 Shorts per month fits inside Starter with headroom. A retainer of 120 Shorts across three clients fits inside Pro at $24 of render cost per client per month. There is no free tier and no signup credit; production starts after payment succeeds.
What you get back
Each render returns a complete package (viewmade.com/pricing and product documentation, 22 August 2026):
- The finished video, 1080x1920 vertical.
- Word-by-word subtitles burned into the image, in one of 7 caption styles.
- Voiceover in one of 5 languages.
- Title, description and tags for upload.
- Background music.
- Licensed real footage plus the media credits file.
- A thumbnail.
The interface runs in 7 languages: English, Turkish, German, Spanish, French, Italian and Portuguese. If your account managers work in Spanish and your editors in English, both can read the same dashboard.
The media credits file is the item to underline in your client onboarding deck. It lists the source of every clip in the render. For regulated clients, broadcasters, or any brand with a fact-checking process, it converts a recurring review question into a delivered document.
Where this is the wrong tool for you
ViewMade makes a Short from a topic, with archive footage and named sources. If your work is different, use a different tool.
If your deliverable is an edit of footage you or the client already recorded, and the client wants frame-level control before sign-off, use Descript. It edits around a recording and gives the most control of the tools in this category; its Hobbyist plan is $16 per person per month billed annually or $24 monthly, per descript.com/pricing on 23 August 2026. Agencies doing interview-based or testimonial content belong there, not here.
If your input is a long video you already made and the job is finding the best moments inside it, use Opus Clip. It finds clips inside a long video you already made; its Starter plan is $15 per month with 150 credits per month, and there is a free tier that does not require a card, per opus.pro/pricing on 23 August 2026.
If the client needs scheduled, hands-off publishing from a topic with no source file, AutoShorts does that. If the client wants a presenter on camera without a camera, HeyGen does that, at $29 per month on Creator, $24 per month billed annually.
ViewMade is for documentary-style vertical video about real events, where the client will ask where the footage came from and you need to answer in one file.
<!-- faq -->Frequently asked questions
Can ViewMade upload to our client's YouTube channel?
No. The YouTube connection requests read-only access (youtube.readonly), and the access token is discarded after import. ViewMade cannot upload, edit, delete or comment on any channel.
What does a 40-Short client retainer cost us?
On Starter, a 40-Short retainer fits within the $29 monthly plan's 50 renders, measured 22 August 2026. On Pro, the same volume uses part of the 150 renders included in the $59 plan, leaving room for your other clients.
Is the footage AI-generated?
No. Footage comes from real archives, maps and graphics. Each render includes a media credits file naming the source of every clip.
Is there a free trial or agency plan?
There is no free tier and no signup credit. The Agency plan has custom pricing, so you need to contact ViewMade for a quote.
