ViewMade's entry plan costs $29 a month and produces 50 renders, which works out to $0.58 per short as of 22 August 2026. That number is the whole decision when one person pays every bill and ships every video alone.
What is actually different for you
Most tools in this category do not change based on who is using them. An agency and a solo creator press the same button, get the same output, and pay the same price. Three things change when you work alone.
First, there is no approval loop. Nobody reviews your script before render or signs off on footage before publish. The tool has to be right on the first pass, because there is no second pair of eyes catching a wrong claim before it goes live. This is why ViewMade ships real archive footage instead of generated visuals, and why every render comes with a media credits file naming the source of each clip. When a viewer asks where an image came from, you answer from the file, not from memory.
Second, cost per video is the entire question. You are not amortizing a subscription across ten editors. Every dollar shows up in your margin directly.
Third, volume is bounded by your own upload schedule. A tool that only makes sense at agency scale is wasted money in your hands.
The arithmetic
Two plans, both monthly-only, no free tier, no signup credit (viewmade.com/pricing, 22 August 2026).
| Plan | Monthly | Renders/month | Cost per short |
|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | $29 | 50 | $0.58 |
| Pro | $59 | 150 | $0.20 |
If you publish weekly, Starter covers it with headroom. If you publish daily on one channel, Pro is the cheaper unit: $0.20 per short against $0.58, and Pro adds priority render queue plus API and MCP access. Pro also has a yearly option: $354 total, which equals $29.50 per month, a 50 percent discount against the monthly rate. Starter has no yearly plan.
For comparison, Revid's entry Hobby plan reads at $39 per month (revid.ai/pricing, 23 August 2026), and Crayo's Clipper tier runs $27 per month equivalent but only on annual billing, $327 upfront (crayo.ai/pricing, 23 August 2026). Both generate their visuals. Neither includes a source file per clip.
What you get back
Each render returns a finished vertical package:
- 1080x1920 video, ready to upload
- Script and sourced research behind it
- Voiceover, available in 5 languages
- Word-by-word burned-in captions, 7 styles available
- Title, description and tags
- Background music
- Thumbnail image
- Media credits file listing the source of every clip
The last item matters most when nobody else checks your work. Real archive footage, maps and graphics carry licensing questions that AI-generated frames never raise. The credits file answers them before anyone asks. The interface itself runs in 7 languages including English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese and Turkish.
Where this is the wrong tool for you
ViewMade makes videos about real events from scratch. If your material already exists, other tools fit better.
If you record long videos and want shorts cut out of them, use Opus Clip. It finds clips inside footage you already made, has a free tier, and its Starter plan costs $15 per month (opus.pro/pricing, 23 August 2026). It does not generate anything, which is exactly right when the recording is the point.
If you edit around your own voice recording and want maximum control over every cut, use Descript. Its Hobbyist plan runs $24 per month billed monthly or $16 billed yearly (descript.com/pricing, 23 August 2026), and it gives watermark-free output even on the entry tier.
If you need a presenter on camera without owning a camera, HeyGen's Creator plan is $29 per month, dropping to $24 on annual billing (heygen.com/pricing, 23 August 2026). None of these three produce documentary shorts from a topic. That job is what ViewMade is built for, and none of the three name clip sources either.

Is there a free trial?
No. There is no free tier and no signup credit. Production starts after payment succeeds (22 August 2026 pricing page).

The connection requests read-only access only. After import, the access token is discarded and no refresh token is stored. ViewMade cannot upload, edit, delete or comment on your channel.

Does the yearly plan apply to Starter too?
No. Yearly billing exists only on Pro, at $29.50 per month equivalent. Starter is monthly-only at $29.
